\u201cSchalanda\u201d means the servants' room in Slovakian, where there was social life with music, singing and food. Related to \u201cKalanda\u201d, a medieval brotherhood and sisterhood that maintained shared cultural exchange without class differences. The Kalandahaus stands for fun-loving sharing of culinary, cultural and communal experiences with friends, colleagues and festive groups, in the middle of the beautiful nature of sunny Burgenland.<\/p>\n
