Originals from the Leithaberg: Origin sparkling wines from 100 % Blaufränkisch

In recent years we have worked hard to realise our vision of authentic Leithaberg wines. For us, this includes the realisation of authentic wines of origin.

Winery manager Frank Schindler recalls: "It was one of my first decisions as the new managing director to harvest my own Blaufränkisch grapes for sparkling wine and to develop the base wines on our premises. Today we can proudly present the results: 100% Blaufränkisch, from a single vineyard, paired with the idea of creating originals. Because it's not about Chardonnay or Pinot Noir, but about showing our homeland. When it comes to sparkling wines from the Leithaberg, this means nerve and minerality! Which is why we are already putting the sparkling wines on sale to perfectly preserve the cool style of the region.

Our Sekt Austria pyramide consists of a Brut NV (non vintage), a Rosé Reserve 2020 and a Große Reserve Blanc de Noir 2019.

Thanks to its proximity to Lake Neusiedl, the region also offers ideal conditions for the production of selected Prädikat wines with and without noble rot (botrytis). Our range covers everything from Beerenauslese and local Schilfwein to Eiswein and Trockenbeerenauslese - if the vintage permits. Every year is different here, which is why these positive whims of nature cannot be produced every year.
